Clean Energy Skills Training & Bursary Grant Competition

The Phase 2 skills training competition of the Regional Skills Pilot Programme, running until March 2026, will provide subsidised training opportunities to the carbon intensive workforce to support the transition to clean energy jobs alongside financial support through bursary provision.

The competition will allocate grant funding to training providers across England (with special focus on those with presence in North and North East Lincolnshire) who are able to deliver Clean Energy Technical Modules and/or Clean Energy Introductory Modules.

To ensure equitable access to learning opportunities, the grant will also offer on a first come first served basis bursary support to eligible learners facing financial or practical barriers that may prevent them from accessing and completing the courses.

The number of organisations funded will depend on the range of courses proposed and the quality of the proposals received.

The competition is managed by: The Midlands Net Zero Hub
