Midlands Net Zero Hub commissioned research into the Low Carbon and Environmental Goods and Services Sector in the Midlands to support local authorities to grow the green economy. The data demonstrates the size, scale, and value of the sector for each local authority in the region.

IMPACT: The Community Carbon Calculator Tool

Impact is a digital visualisation tool that helps you understand your community’s carbon footprint. It works for parishes, wards, and local authority areas. It helps identify the areas where taking action to tackle climate change can make the biggest difference. Use the tool.

SCATTER

SCATTER is a local authority focussed emissions measurement and modelling tool, built to help create low-carbon local authorities. SCATTER provides local authorities and city regions with the opportunity to standardise their greenhouse gas reporting and align to international frameworks, including the setting of targets in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. Its use is free of charge to all local authorities in the UK. Use the tool.

Public-private joint ventures and partnerships for energy schemes

This guide will help you to develop mutually beneficial relationships to complete energy related projects by setting up public-private joint ventures. With the help of this introductory information, local authorities can attract investment to deliver local energy projects at a greater scale and scope.
