The Midlands Net Zero Hub Board

The Midlands Net Zero Hub is funded by the Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The Hub is hosted by Nottingham City Council, which acts as the Accountable Body for all of the Midlands Net Zero Hub’s programmes.

The Midlands Net Zero Hub is overseen by a Board that meets monthly to monitor the Hub’s activity, agree strategic priorities, and make decisions about funding allocations.

The Midlands Net Zero Hub Board is made up of representatives from the following organisations:

  • East Midlands Combined County Authority
  • Energy Systems Catapult
  • Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership
  • Herefordshire Council
  • Leicester and Leicestershire Local Enterprise Partnership
  • Lincolnshire Council
  • Solihull Council
  • Staffordshire County Council
  • Sustainability West Midlands
  • Telford and Wrekin Council
  • Warwickshire County Council
  • West Midlands Combined Authority
  • Worcestershire County Council
  • Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership

The Midlands Net Zero Hub was created by the UK Government in 2018, as part of the Local Net Zero Hubs programme. The five Local Net Zero Hubs provide the public sector and communities they serve practical and technical support to make their net zero projects happen.
